Cambria

A Cambria is a cross between different types of orchids so it does not occur naturally in the wild. These hybrid plants can come from anywhere in the world. The Cambria flowers for around six weeks. If you’re lucky, and follow a couple of simple care tips, your Cambria might even flower again later on in the year. We have various types of Cambrias available in pot size 12.

Phalaenopsis

The Phalaenopsis grows in the tropical rainforests of Asia, Australia and New Guinea. It is a popular orchid that flowers for long periods – sometimes up to three months. If you would like to enjoy its flowers for even longer, you can try some care tips to further extend the flowering period. We have several versions of the Phalaenopsis such as the Twirl, Arch and Hurricane.

Beaucarnea

The Beaucarnea recurvata comes from Central America. It is also known as Nolina recurvata or elephant’s foot because of its sturdy stem and thick, knobbly base. The plant stores its own water supply in the stem and base, which enables Beaucarnea to survive in arid environments. We have four types of Beaucarnea: dual-branched, with a straight stem, spherical, and with a split stem.

Unique Beaucarneas
At Duijn-Hove we can also supply unique, one-of-a-kind Beaucarneas. These exclusive plants can be up to three metres tall.

Cycas

The Cycas revoluta is more widely known as the sago palm, but don’t be fooled by the name because the Cycas isn’t a member of the palm family. It is actually a cycad or seed plant. This houseplant does not like a lot of water. The Cycas can also be grown outside, but it isn’t winter-hardy so it is best to store it indoors when the temperature drops towards zero.

Ficus

The Ficus Ginseng is one of the most popular bonsai plants for beginners because a Ficus is very strong and performs well indoors. The plant thrives in a light, sunny spot and should be watered generously, especially in the summer. We have Ficuses available in pot sizes ranging from 6 to 25.

Decorum Concepts

Decorum Concepts' terrariums are beautiful. The closed ecosystems are put together by hand, the plants are carefully selected and therefore unique and exclusive. A living art object!

You hardly need to look at your Decorum Concepts terrarium - you can simply let nature take its course. Here are a few practical tips:

  • Place your terrarium in a room with a constant room temperature in a bright spot, but not in direct sunlight.

  • In case of excessive condensation, open the lid a little, this will cause condensation to disappear within a few days. Replace the lid afterwards to prevent drying out.

Radermachera

The Radermachera mangrove is a plant that grows in the subtropical mountain ranges of China and Taiwan. In the wild, Radermacheras can grow into sizable trees. When a Radermachera is a few years old, it develops a bonsai-like woody growth beneath the soil. We uncover and display that growth which gives the Radermachera a unique appearance! The Radermachera thrives on natural light and it enjoys a generous amount of water. We supply the Radermachera in pot sizes from 9 to 19.

Olive tree (Olea europaea)

Most people love the olive tree (Olea europaea). These trees are hugely popular thanks to their Mediterranean vibe. All the olive trees in our assortment meet the same high standard of quality you have come to expect from Duijn-Hove. To support optimal growth, position the olive tree in a nice warm, sunny spot in the garden. Keep the soil moist but ensure good drainage around the roots. The olive tree is a winter-hardy evergreen, but if the temperature drops below zero it is best to bring it indoors. Alternatively, the pot should be wrapped in insulation material or bubble wrap to prevent the roots from freezing.

We can supply olive trees in different pot sizes and various heights. You can find our current offer in Floriday.
